"Sarugo" Tourism Village



#raunholic -- Saribu gonjong ( sarugo ) traditional tourism village has its own uniqueness which is an attraction for tourists to visit.
 
The arrangement of the Minangkabau traditional house (Rumah Gadang) is so neat and orderly, while the original rural atmosphere is still felt in the place, the cold air from the hills makes the atmosphere even more peaceful.
 
Sarugo tourism village is located in Jorong Sungai Dadok, Nagari Koto Tinggi, Gunung Omeh District, Limapuluh Kota, West Sumatra.
 
This traditional village with the dense Rumah Gadang has people who depend on it in the agricultural sector, especially Mount Omeh siam oranges which are abundant with an area of ​​about 200 hectares.
 
Its inhabitants highly uphold Minangkabau cultural values ​​and are devout of religion. This can be seen from the gonjong in the traditional house, which only has 5 gonjong.  
This refers to the number of pillars of Islam and indicates that the local community in particular has a strong adherence to Islam. 
 
The village of 'Sarugo' is now popular among the people of West Sumatra and nationally, and is even included in the 2020 Anugerah Pesona Indonesia (API) for the category of Traditional Village.(*/ril)
